Y-Fitness App Design

Content, Users, and Context of Use

Content: The app features essential fitness-related content, including class listings with images and descriptions, a schedule view, user progress tracking, and booking/cancellation records. The navigation is simple and consistent, offering quick access to Programs, My Classes, and Booking/Cancellation, which supports discovery and task completion.

Users: The primary users are fitness enthusiasts aged 18-30 who want to stay organized and motivated. They may range from beginners to intermediate users, and they value easy access to class information, progress tracking, and the ability to manage their schedules conveniently. The design also caters to users who may be new to digital fitness tools.

Context of use: The wireframes are designed for mobile use, supporting users who are on the move, such as those at the gym or between daily activities. The straightforward layout, visual cues, and minimal text ensure that users can quickly navigate, book classes, check progress, or cancel sessions with minimal friction.

Justification of Design Choices

Homepage:

The homepage features a clear brand identity, prominent navigation, and visually engaging image sections to draw user interest. The layout is clean and vertically structured for smooth mobile browsing, making it easy for users to explore and navigate.

Programs page:

This page uses a grid layout to efficiently present multiple fitness programs with supporting images and descriptions. This design allows users to quickly compare options and understand each class, helping them make informed decisions.

My classes page:

With time filters and a simple schedule view, this page supports efficient planning. The inclusion of a progress tracker adds a personal touch, motivating users to stay consistent. The layout balances functional scheduling with user engagement.

Booking/cancellation page:

Bookings and cancellations are divided, making it easy for users to track their activity. The numbered lists and consistent navigation reduce cognitive load, supporting quick reference and action on a mobile device.
